Ceramic vs. carbon window tint: what the numbers mean.

Both carbon and ceramic film block 99% of UV light and won't interfere with your phone, GPS or key fob. The real difference is how much heat they stop, and how long they're warrantied to last.

Carbon film

Our entry-level film and where our lowest price comes from. Carbon rejects roughly 30–40% of solar heat and — unlike old-school dyed film — it stays a true black instead of fading purple over time. It carries a 5-year warranty.

Ceramic film

Where most Blackout Bros customers land. Ceramic particles reject 78–88% of heat — more than double carbon — for a relatively small step up in price. It's backed by a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the vehicle.

Super ceramic (top tier)

The most heat rejection available without going darker: around 95%. Worth the upgrade if your car sits outside all day or you're regularly driving in the hottest parts of the county. Also lifetime warrantied.

So which one?

If budget is the deciding factor, carbon is a genuinely good film — it's not the cheap dyed stuff that fades. If you want the cabin to actually feel cooler on the freeway, ceramic is where the jump is noticeable. Super ceramic is for anyone who parks outdoors all day and wants the least heat possible, full stop.
