Blackout Bros is a trading name (DBA) of Steamsy LLC, a California limited liability company. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Steamsy LLC trading as Blackout Bros.
What we collect
When you fill in the quote form or text us, we receive whatever you send: your name, mobile number, the vehicle you drive, any photos you attach, and any notes you write.
Our website host records standard technical information for every visit — the pages you looked at, the browser you used, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. That is used to keep the site working and to see which pages people actually read.
How we use it
- To work out an accurate price for your vehicle
- To contact you about that quote, by the method you chose on the form
- To schedule the appointment and find your address on the day
- To follow up if we haven't heard back, and to ask how the job went afterwards
- To honour the warranty, which means keeping a record of what we fitted and when
Text messages
We only text you if you tick the consent box on the quote form. The box is not ticked for you, and consent is never a condition of buying anything from us.
If you do opt in, we text you about your quote, your appointment, and a follow-up if we don't hear back. Message frequency varies — expect up to 4 messages per job. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
Reply STOP at any time to cancel and we will stop texting you. Reply HELP for help, or call us on (858) 407-0711.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile number and your consent to be texted are never sold, rented, or passed to anyone for their own use. The only companies that touch your number are the service providers who deliver the messages on our behalf, and they may not use it for anything else.
Who else sees it
Nobody buys this information from us, because we don't sell it. It is handled by the services we use to run the business — our website host, our form and scheduling software, and our messaging provider — and only so that they can deliver those services to us.
Mobile numbers and text-message consent are treated separately and more strictly: they are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and are not included in any information we share for any other reason.
We will only hand information to anyone else if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Quote enquiries that don't turn into work are kept for around two years. Completed job records are kept for as long as the warranty runs, because we need them to honour it.
Your choices
Ask us and we'll tell you what we hold about you, correct anything that's wrong, or delete it — except where we need to keep a job record to support a live warranty. Email service@blackoutbros.com or call (858) 407-0711.
California residents have specific rights under state privacy law, including the right to know what personal information a business has collected and to ask for its deletion. We honour those requests through the same contact details above.
